Its dramatic appearance makes it an attractive choice for collectors of North American wildlife taxidermy. The open-mouth pose adds character, while the dark fur creates a distinctive display for a trophy room, hunting lodge, cabin, or dedicated wildlife collection.

Black Bear Taxidermy Rug Features

BB-108 combines a traditional bear rug presentation with an open-mouth head mount.

The original specimen listing describes deep black fur with a small white marking near the chest. It also highlights the attractive fur coverage and the ears’ backward-facing position.

These details contribute to the rug’s appearance and distinguish it from simpler flat-hide displays.

Furthermore, the original seller describes the specimen as a recently completed rug with high-quality taxidermy workmanship. Buyers should review the current photographs to assess its present condition.

North American Black Bear Taxidermy

The American black bear, scientifically known as Ursus americanus, inhabits forests and other habitats across North America.

Although its name suggests a single color, the species displays several natural color variations. These include black, brown, cinnamon, and lighter shades.

BB-108 features the classic dark coloration that many collectors associate with North American black bear taxidermy.

Moreover, bear rugs provide an alternative to shoulder mounts and full-body wildlife displays. They showcase the animal’s hide while preserving the recognizable appearance of its head.

Display and Buying Considerations of Bear Rug BB-108

Collectors can incorporate this Black Bear taxidermy rug into hunting lodges, trophy rooms, cabins, offices, or wildlife-themed interiors.

The finished rug’s substantial dimensions make it suitable for a prominent display location. However, buyers should avoid placing delicate taxidermy rugs in areas with frequent foot traffic, excessive sunlight, or moisture.

Before purchasing BB-108, examine the available photographs to assess the actual fur, head presentation, backing, and visible condition.

Also, confirm any applicable wildlife-product ownership, shipping, or import restrictions before arranging delivery. Regulations can vary by destination.

Overall, Black Bear Taxidermy Rug BB-108 combines jet-black coloring, a distinctive open-mouth pose, and impressive dimensions in a traditional North American wildlife presentation.
