The Black Bear taxidermy rug B-144R features rich red-brown coloring, long hair and quality workmanship. Measuring approximately 64″ long × 56″ wide, this full-size bear rug creates a substantial wildlife display for a lodge, cabin, home or office.

The specimen features a closed-mouth head pose and a double-felted backing. Its long hair maintains good thickness throughout the hide, while the deep natural coloring gives B-144R a distinctive appearance. The exact specimen carries an Excellent quality rating.

Full-Size Black Bear Rug

B-144R measures approximately 64 inches in overall length and 56 inches across the front paws. The bear itself measures about 56 inches from nose to tail.

The substantial dimensions create a noticeable display without reaching the extreme size of some larger bear rugs. Furthermore, the long, thick hair contributes to the rug’s full appearance.

The deep red-brown coloring also distinguishes this specimen from the darker black coloration commonly associated with the species.

Black Bear Skin Rug With Double Felt Backing

This Black Bear taxidermy rug features a double-felted backing, giving the piece a finished presentation. The mounted head uses a closed-mouth pose, which creates a different appearance from the open-mouth bear rugs commonly offered by taxidermy sellers.

Bear rugs can work as floor displays or wall-mounted wildlife pieces. However, sellers of genuine taxidermy rugs generally recommend avoiding regular foot traffic because it can damage the hair over time.

The combination of long hair, good thickness and strong natural coloring makes B-144R particularly suitable for a prominent decorative display.

Display and Buying Considerations

Buyers should review all available photographs before purchasing B-144R. The photographs show the exact specimen’s hair, coloring, facial presentation, felt backing and overall condition.

Also consider the 64″ × 56″ overall dimensions when selecting a display location. Measuring the intended area beforehand can help ensure that the rug has enough space for a balanced presentation.

Overall, B-144R combines Excellent-rated workmanship, deep red-brown coloring, long thick hair, a closed-mouth pose and double-felt backing. Its substantial size makes this Black Bear rug a distinctive addition to a North American wildlife collection, lodge or cabin.
