African Eland Shoulder Mount. X-117E

Description

Eland Shoulder Mount X-117E

This Eland shoulder mount X-117E is a substantial African taxidermy specimen featuring a classic head-forward presentation and horns measuring more than 23 inches on both sides. Its large overall dimensions and distinctive Eland appearance make it a noticeable display piece for an African wildlife or taxidermy collection.

Eland Shoulder Mount With 23-Inch-Plus Horns

The horns are an important feature of X-117E. One measures approximately 23 5/8 inches, while the other measures approximately 24 2/8 inches.

The mount presents the head forward with a turn toward its right. Therefore, the pose provides additional dimension when the specimen is viewed from within a room rather than appearing completely straight ahead.

Overall Dimensions

This Eland shoulder mount measures approximately:

• 41 inches deep
• 27 inches wide
• 53 inches high

Because this is a large African antelope mount, buyers should compare these measurements with their available wall and room space before ordering. In particular, the 53-inch overall height and 41-inch depth require adequate clearance for a comfortable display.

Condition of X-117E

Buyers should be aware that X-117E is not a pristine specimen. The mount has visible hair loss on the left side of the face and neck. This condition can be examined more closely in the available product photographs.

Despite this existing wear, the specimen retains its recognizable Eland appearance, substantial size, horn presentation and attractive pose.

Providing these condition details allows buyers to evaluate the actual specimen more accurately before making a purchasing decision. Therefore, we recommend reviewing all available photographs carefully, particularly the images showing the left side of the face and neck.

African Eland Taxidermy Display

An Eland is a substantial African antelope, and its size gives an Eland mount considerable presence within a trophy room, lodge or wildlife collection. X-117E combines that large profile with a traditional shoulder-mount format, 23-inch-plus horns and a head-forward presentation.

Overall, this specimen offers collectors a harder-to-find African taxidermy subject with documented measurements and clearly disclosed existing condition.
